Sorry about not being able to post anything for a while :(...   ...it is quit hard (probably harder than you think).

Nice thing for us last week (or so) was that our good friends, Abigail(T), Laim(T), Alex(T), Angela (T) and Danny(T), and our other friends, Julie and Jack(M) have also come to India.

2 days ago we all jumped on a train from Lalitpur (near Jhansi) in theState of UP aka Uttar Pradesh and now are here in Mumbai\Bombay- what it was like on the train is another question(I wiil tell everybody when we get back).

I would recommend viewing the places we have been/going to on google images:

• Delhi (capital)
• Jodpur (blue city)
• Jaisalmer (golden city)
• Udaipur (a lake where the James Bond film Octerpusy was shot)
• Jaipur (pink city)
• Agra (where the Taj Mahal is)
• Chandigarh (a state in its self)
• Shimla (foot hills of The Himalayas-it makes the moutain in Australia look tiny) 
• Lalitpur (a little town where our friends worked and lived for 2 years)
• Mumbai\Bombay (Bollywood city)
• Goa (Nice beaches, also Portugese colony until about 50 years ago)

Well hi everyone, blogging while travelling has been logistically harder than I had thought.  Our main problem has been not being able to recharge our phone our iPad due to something dodgy happening with the power while we were in Delhi (a power surge or brown out or something).  

So update, we've been in India 10 days.  Felt we were far too long in Delhi (7 days) and so it was a relief to finally arrive in Jodphur, Rajasthan.  

This is an amazing city of built around an amazing fort that sits perched at the top of the hill with flat top houses, mostly light blue stretching out from there.  We are in a cosy haveli only just down from the castle walls and with a great view of it and the blue city all around.  An activity advertised here is a flying fox up at the fort.  I innocently suggested we do this yesterday and found myself flying across great motes and ravines possibly 50 minutes above the ground for over an hour.   In our group of ten Sasha was the only child and definitely the best and most confident.  I was petrified! And the instructor (a young Australian women) commented that I had an 'interesting technique' - it involved spinning uncontrollably (& squealing I believe). 

After being stuck in Delhi for so long I've been determined to make up ground and see as much as we can while we can, so had planned to up and leave Jodphur after only one night and head further to the desert city of Jaisalmer.  We had one close shave when our alarm clock battery decided to fail on us but a lovely porter/waiter had got up to see us off and came and woke us when we hadn't surfaced for our 4.15am start.  He also ran down the road for a rickshaw for us.  As we sat on the train I realised something was missing - the iPad - I'd left it hidden under the mattress!  So we're now back for another day in this beautiful city and chance to see the sunset tonight (we got the iPad back safe and sound).

The crowds have been a challenge for Sash.  She gets load of attention and people wanting to take her photo - not at all Sasha's cup of tea.  So India has taken quite a bit of getting used to for a shy girl and she really not in favour of going out to markets (shame ....I find them so crazy and exciting!). So our plan is to keep going on and visiting places with historic & beautiful sites and some animals thrown in the mix.  Our friends the,Tincknells and McCreddens will be here on the 18th and Sasha is really looking forward to some little people company.  I keep telling her she'll be an old hand by then and can inform the other kids on what's what (like catching a train, travelling 5th class (sleeper class) and sleeping on the uppermost bunk (of 3) on the train where you get a little respite from the constant attention.)

Right now were in a little internet cafe (I'm not typing very fast this keyboard is hard to use:-(, but luckily there is no keys missing:-)) btw mum is booking some trains at this moment.
Tonight we are about to get on a train to Jodpur at 9:15. I'm hoping it better than smelly "Hello Madam" streets of Delhi(which I am macking sound very dramatic witch they are).
But I must add yesterday and today in Delhi have been rather nice.  Yesterday we(mum and I) went to some very old and interesting ruins/forts that were used to protect the moghuls/rulers at the past time.  When we were there we noticed the the were rat sided creatures scampering, clumbing and hopping around the trees.  At first we didn't know what they were, but then we soon realised they were little tiny squirels just scampering around anywere they liked, and from then we have seen them almost everywhere.
Today we went to The National Zoological Park (not that national) aka Delhi Zoo. The normal zoo fare is 20 rupee(just over 30c) for adulds and 10 rupee(about 20c) for children under the age of 13, but as they charge more for foreiners(ofcorse! anyway they always are) we paded 100 rupee(just short of $2) each!
When we got in the the zoo we saw a lepord, a loin, some emus, macaw, jackel (saw a girl who said to the jackel "hay look a fox!" mum and I giggled afterwords), hyaenas, African and Indian elephent, cape buffalo, crocodille white and black buck, hippos(saw a cute little baby one) and a rhino. 
We will try to work on the blog as much as we can to keep you up to date with what we are doing.
That was hard work and queit frustating with this keyboard I hope I didn't make to many mistakes and if I did blame the keyboard.
